PZU Group is one of the largest financial institutions in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. The main entity within PZU Group is Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń SA (PZU), a publicly traded company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW).

The PZU Group operates in four pillars: non-life and life insurance, banking, investment and healthcare. The primary market for PZU Group in terms of scale and client base is Poland. However, subsidiaries also operate in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Ukraine.

On the Polish market, the PZU Group offers insurance products through PZU – in the field of non-life and personal insurance, including motor, housing and building, farm building, and third-party liability insurance, through PZU Życie – in the field of life insurance, and through the company LINK4 and TUW 1 Corresponding to 37 004 employees in full-time equivalent (FTE) PZUW (Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych Polski Zakład Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych).

PZU Group also operates in the insurance markets of the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) and provides insurance services in Ukraine.

The banking segment of PZU Group consists of two capital groups: Bank Pekao (part of PZU Group since 2017) and Alior Bank (part of PZU Group since 2015).

Bank Pekao and Alior Bank are universal commercial banks that offer a wide range of banking services to individual and institutional customers. Cooperation within the banking business provides an additional platform for PZU for building relationships with customers.

The PZU Group operates three investment fund companies: TFI PZU, Pekao TFI, and Alior TFI, as well as Powszechne Towarzystwo Emerytalne PZU, which manages the PZU Złota Jesień Open Pension Fund. These entities offer investment products, including open and closed investment funds, as well as pension products such as open pension funds, Individual Retirement Accounts (IKE), voluntary pension funds, Employee Pension Programs (PPE), and Employee Capital Plans (PPK). The PZU Group’s TFI offerings include investment products compliant with Article 8 or Article 9 of the SFDR.

Under the PZU Zdrowie brand, the PZU Group is expanding its health insurance offerings along with accompanying medical care services. The PZU Group provides health products in the form of insurance as well as non-insurance products, including occupational medicine, medical subscriptions, partnerships, and preventive programs. Additionally, the PZU Group is developing and expanding medical infrastructure in Poland, thereby increasing the availability of healthcare services.
